CPR/First Aid/AED
The 2021 Adult First Aid/CPR/AED:course equips students to recognize and care for various first-aid breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults. It is designed for students who need a certification that satisfies OSHA workplace or other regulatory requirements. A valid 2-year digital certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED is issued upon successful completion.
(BLS) Basic Life Support
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) uses a scenario-based approach to develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills that drive better patient outcomes. It is consistent with AHA Guidelines for CPR/ECC and covers breathing and cardiac emergencies – including CPR, AED, and obstructed airway – for adult, child, and infant patients. Complete part of your training online with in-person skills sessions.
(BLS) Bloodbourne Pathogens (OSHA)
Designed for those who are at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace. The course teaches staff how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material. This course is one of the requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.
Medication Administration
Completing this course minimally prepares unlicensed personnel to administer medication by oral, topical, rectal, sublingual, inhalation, and instillation (ear, eye, nose) methods. This course is prepared using the material approved by the North Carolina Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services and supported by NC DHHS. This training does not license, register, or certify the trainee. These credentials do not transfer outside of the employing agency.
